I keep having really weird dreams about getting married. I've had three (that I remember off the top of my head) in the last three months. The first one was about how the wedding dress didn't fit, and the ceremony was not what I, nor my groom wanted at all - it was someone else's dream wedding. And the dress was too big. The next one was in someone's garden with all my friends there, and nice afternoon tea for the reception afterwards. It was nice, but again not exactly quite what I wanted (but for all that it was really lovely). And the most recent occurred thus:

Darius and I were driving somewhere, and he suddenly burst out with "let's get married. Today." Bemused, I said "ok, if that's how you want to do it". So he rushed me to a jewellery store, and we picked out rings. I don't remember the ceremony, but I remember afterwards talking to my best friend and showing her the rings. For some reason, the diamond on the engagement ring had disappeared, and what had previously been yellow gold appeared to now be copper.

This week has gone by in a flurry - full of things happening left, right and centre. On Monday I applied for three different jobs. On Tuesday I bought tickets for the Wednesday night Fiddlers Festival performance, and in the evening went to see "Los Cabrones", an Afro-Cuban jazz band, and dance. On Wednesday, I helped my dad pack to go to Brisbane, and then in the evening I went to see Fiddlers Festival, and ended up staying another hour afterwards to listen to international dance djs. On Thursday I saw the Ballet Nacional Espana perform, and while I was disappointed by the first half, the second half (an interpretation of the tragedy Medea) more than made up for it. On Friday ... well, Friday is my rest day, but tomorrow night I'm going to the Symphony Under The Stars with a group of friends. We'll have dinner there, and then listen to music, and then go home.

On Monday I'm going to some salsa and merengue dances classes with Darius. This is going to be so much fun. On Friday we're going to go to a latino club and put our new moves to good use with some friends.
