So ... a party at
miss__scarlet's place, largely to welcome home Lisa and Louise from their six months overseas in Europe.
Louise said something that was lovely to hear - she said she hadn't really understood about how hard it had been for me to have no one who had shared my experiences when I came back from Italy the first time. She said she now fully grasped where I had been coming from, even though she had also shared a large part of her travels with Lisa (when they met up after their academic obligations were fulfilled).
I've tried to explain it before - it's like when I'd go to the monuments and get so very excited and turn to share my excitement with ... well, with no one, because no one I knew or was friends with back home was there to share with. It was very lonely knowing that.
Anyway, it was good to hear someone else could relate.
So, much drinkage then ensued. I consumed about ... six or seven standard drinks in three hours, which then led to my hugging all of my friends and lifting my top a lot. I took quite a few pics, but there are very few of me because I was the one holding the damned thing.
Anyway, here is a pic, before I went to pieces. ( I'm still sober! )
Then people started folding, so things got quieter. Some of
miss__scarlet's uni friends stayed for a while longer, and all three of them seemed very nice but it appears that - even if it's just teething issues (the relationship is new) - the couple have got some sorting to do.
Then more people left, until we were left with only people from the group of
miss__scarlet's friends that I'm in. And around 5am, we went to bed (after losing and finding a friend and her boy *giggles* you can guess, I'm sure).
When I woke up at 10am, I'd lost my voice, and my jeans ... but while the jeans were quickly retrieved, the voice still hasn't come back, over twelve hours later! (Argh! I sound so ... blah!). Oh! And when we got outside to leave, it turned out, Dan had lost a side-back window, his stereo and some speakers too! I never figured
miss__scarlet's suburb for that kind of thing. Then again, I know someone else who'd found their car with a brick through the windscreen in an equally "nice" area.
And! I got to see my Snuggle One tonight too. I turned up to see him, but he was out with a mate (he's feeling a lot perkier today, and this is a good sign - I hope he kicks whatever's making him unwell). They went to see Spiderman 2. Anyway, I ate some dinner there - some potato thing that's a traditional dish of Lithuania. It was good. Then Darius came home, so we escaped with a dvd he'd rented or something to his sister's room and watched it on her tv. It was about cars and testing different cars (mostly all Japanese, with a few exceptions) against each other. It was all in Japanese, but, so cute! I love the way the drivers were so playful/cheeky while racing at top speed. Or how they casually described the balance, traction, etc of the vehicle and then also casually "sold" the vehicle tot he viewer, while doing imaginary slaloms on a race track at 180kmph! So cute.I could watch it again it was so enjoyable. Plus, even though I understand zip about cars, it was fun to watch them go fast and admire the control and precision they could handle the cars with. Both the boys want a Nissan Z350, lol, along with every other car they thought was cool *giggles* I'm fine with a Honda. I'm fine with my Civic. In fact, a tiny Civic beat an S2000 and an Accord Euro over a winding up/down race track too, for sheer maneuverability and lightweightness. YAY!
