I totally forgot to say in my earlier post, that yesterday I bought some more fish for my aquarium on the way home.

The story is that originally, my mother and I bought a 20 gallon tank plus heaters and filters for my dad's siamese fighters, because they're tropical fish, and winter in our city is just too cold for them. Unfortunately we weren't able to set them loose in the tank, lol, or they'd just attack each other. So, we bought them breeding tanks to sit in and then got other fish to fill the empty space - a tiny, tiny angel fish, a couple of pristella tetras, guppies and mollies, and something else the name of which escapes me at this moment.

Anyway, long story short is that eventually all of those fish die, (except for the pristellas), most of them just from water pH issues, and one time a bad batch of female guppies that just went belly up both at my place and the store a few days later, and the fighters got some kind of fungal infection and even though I treated them, they died anyway.

So ... I was left with the pristella tetras, which stayed with me despite all of this stuff. So, I thought, well, I need to get more fish. Three tiny tetras in a 20 gallon tank is very empty. So, since the tetras had survived so well ... well, I just got more. Except, I got different ones!

Four red phantom tetras, two emperor tetras, two x-ray pristella tetras, two glolite tetras, two mollies (not tetras) and one algae-eater. Whee! So pretty - I'll take pictures tomorrow in good lighting and post them.

I totally want to get some lemon and cardinal tetras. I'd love to get serpae tetras, but they nip fins like crazy and that's not nice for the other tetras.

Anyway ... fish tank whee! Plus I've got to take the filter in to see if they'll fix it, and pick up the new lid (the cat sat on in and broke it, and nearly fell in), and maybe get some fake plants.
