Well. In the last three weeks a bit more has happened. Romeo and Juliet's two chicks from their first clutch died! :( But I think that they weren't learning to fly or to eat by themselves, which is what contributed to or even led to their deaths. It's sad because they were fully feathered and so on ... :( but I guess this is nature's way - the smartest and fittest survive, and the weak don't or are unlikely to.

Also, it was R and J's first go of things. They were bound to stuff it up somewhere along the line (hell, Snugglepot and Cuddlepie accidentally squashed their first two babies because they even got beyond a week old) - at least they made it that far! They just have to teach their babies to eat the solid food and how to fly. Warmer weather would help too.
