The cats were happy last night, and tolerant enough of each other - nothing out of the ordinary in either direction (angsty/friendly) but goodness me. This mornin after I fed them, and seemingly completely separate to any food squabbles ... they were sitting metres apart, Oscar growl/groaning and Indi with her fur and tail all puffed out and hissy.
Please do not let this be the apertura to increased tension and squabbling.
Ugh.

I'm expecting Luke to collect my whoop-ass lens today from the Post Office. I will probably want to take the lens out for a play on the weekend hehe. I have started searching for photo/camera clubs in my local area to see if there are any social/interest groups that are either free or cheap to join, and offer support or (purchasable) lessons in the use of my camera and improvement of my photography skills. Very exciting. I am dying to take it out to a part of the city that has an awesome view of the Opera House and the Bridge. It's a pity that sharing the shots would require a scanner which I don't have access too.
I would take along my digital point-and-shoot but it has broken, for who knows what reason, and won't even switch on! Maybe it is the battery. I hope it's not otherwise fried as I don't recall anything happening to it that might cause it to pack up. Luke and I may invest in a super-cheap point-and-shoot replacement, after trying the replacement battery option, but I'm actually also hoping that a digital SLR is also not too far off in my future. =D Then you'll all be in trouble. Teehee.

In news - the lift in our building has seized. It is stuck on Basement Two (parking) and will only open and shut the doors instead of going anywhere. For the last 48 hours, all occupants have had to use the fire stairs to access their apartments or cars. We are all supposed to have in our possession a key that will open the fire stairs door and allow us entry that way. Not unexpectedly, my key doesn't open the door. Luke's does, fortunately. I'm hoping that the lift is fixed soon!
Edited: Lift fixed as of this evening!
