I treated myself today.

You may or may not be aware that Apple have released new generation iPods (I refer specifically to the Nano here though) with wide screens and new interfaces.

After a year of dithering, I decided to purchase a new iPod that had a smaller capacity than my previous 20G iPod (which shall hence forth live in my car, again).

It had completely not occurred to me that the new iPods had been released or how this would affect my purchase.

Anyway, I made my mind up to at least get a wall charger for the 20G iPod because the battery ran flat from using it (out of the car) yesterday.

I had previously donated my wall charger to my brother (as his smaller capacity and cheaper iPod didn't come with one) because my 20G iPod was living in my car and charging off the car battery ...

Anyway, the whole point is, I bought the charger because I will need it either way. But I also went and bought a 4G Nano but of the old variety (i.e. not wide screen video with new interface). This is because I find the older style more attractive (tall, narrow, slim as opposed to short, wide, slim). I also don't feel the need for wide screen video capability.

It was cheaper, reduced due to the arrival on the market of the new generation iPods and is being phased out. Unfortunately I couldn't find an 8G black iPod ... but 4G and white iPod is nice enough. Also, it's probably more than enough capacity for a day to day, week to week use =D

Plus my car can hold the 20G iPod which will hold all of my music - I can take it out and use it if I need to.

So, I spoiled myself, a little bit. Yay =D Gosh, retail therapy can feel so nice sometimes.

Yay for older Nanos. ^.^

I wouldn't trade mine for the newer, not as nice-looking ones.

Yes I'm not sure if I'm sold on the new ones either. I adore my 4gb iPod Nano (green in colour). Love it!
Good on you for spoiling yourself!

Retail therapy rocks! I splurge on books and then make myself get rid of the guilt, by going 'Ooooh pretty booksie *LOVE*' xDDD

Haha, I dont have a iPod. I was going to buy one but then decided against it =S
They're quite popular here though...

Yeah, I do on books too. But, books are harder at the moment because not enough space to store them, while I'm in between proper homes.

Hehe, speaking of splurging, when [info]flygirl5 visited, she spent $700 on books in one afternoon! ZOMG!

Yeah, well, mp3 players in general are fun. iPods just seem to have a lion share on the pop culture draw card. Sucker that I am, I go for it. Hehe.

you've been busy posting away... 2 on tues and 2 yesterday! i completely forgot you had a tat, yet now, for the life of me, i've forgotten where i think i've seen it!

i just woke up from an hour's nanna nap and i feel like crap, i think i actually feel MORE tired than i did before i went to sleep :(

can't wait for you to come back again, whenever that happens to be

*TB Hugs*

Yeah, it's quite good! Shorter battery life than the bigger ones though, it seems.

Yeah, been a bit posty last week. You probably saw the tattoo (a fairy) at a pool party or something.

Oh no! =( I'm sure you felt better the longer you were awake though!

Yes! =)

yeah, i woke up a bit more once i started drinking, but i think i got more pissed more easily than normal... still could have been a better night though, one of my mates got attacked outside the elephant at like 3.30 and ended up with a big black eye, had to wait ages for the cops to take the statements and sort it out, but one of the cops said he knew who the guy was so it should be easy to find him and sort him out

Yikes! I hope he is ok.

Yes, when you are tired alcohol does seem to take effect harder and faster.
