I'm looking for recommendations of authors I have or haven't read before, primarily their work that I haven't ready before. This is intended to give me a few names to search around for audiobooks for my return trip to Adelaide.

Currently looking at getting The Time Traveler's Wife. Any other suggestions?

You may well have read a lot of these before, but they're my favourite audiobooks. I should say that I almost always read a book a couple of times before listening to it... that probably affects how I listen. Anyway, here you go! ^_^

Terry Pratchett - any of the ones read by Stephen Briggs.
Jonathan Stroud - The Bartimaeus Trilogy, read by Simon Jones.
Cornelia Funke - The Thief Lord, read by Simon Jones.
Douglas Adams - anything he read himself.
Philip Pullman - His Dark Materials, ensemble cast.

Anything by the following

Sean Williams
Timothy Zahn
Kevin J Anderson

The three above authors have enough books between them to keep you occupied for a long time :) and there all brilliant fantasy / sci fi writers
