Well, Wednesday night was fun - amongst other things, AJ loved my present, and D called to say the lovebirds I gave him for Christmas two years ago have laid an egg! Eeeee!

Wednesday night was full of getting ready, going out, and dancing the night away - as desired by the birthday girl. We danced near the stage, and got a few freebies (nothing of value, just lollies, plastic leis, and a bottle of bubble solution). Then the host organised some single girls and boys, an equal number of each, and proceeded to organise a kiss-off, lol. Couple #2 bombed straight away, so that left us with couples #1 and #3 who then had to win by showing as many sex positions in a minute as they could think of. Number #1 won because they went first (#3 had no chance, because #1 did all the usual stuff plus some leaving #3 with nothing left unless they knew the Kama Sutra by rote). Later in the night - no around 2.30am, we decided to go home, by which time we'd lost and found . She went away again to put up her hair, and was going to come back straight away, but in her absence we decided home was a good idea, so I took a phone and went to the bathrooms to find her. (She got back to the group before I did so they texted me to tell me to meet them at the door, which I did). On my way there and back, I saw: couple #1 still making out - obviously they'd seen something they liked (at least for the night), and a group of people showing off their own sex position knowledge (wt? what girl would degrade herself that much in public with no incentive, ie prizes like tickets to see Kelis - or any other star that might have been performing whenever - live at the club on July 11th?). Also, apparently at some point, poor was randomly grabbed by a guy who then kissed her! Eeek. And I gave some guy whatfor who tried to hit on AJ and then came back alter inth e night with a drink for her which she wouldn't accept and the stupid drunkard dropped it on the floor (security gave him whatfor about that too!). Except, I tried to be nice and explain why she couldn't accept the drink - how it could be spiked "even though I'm sure you're a very honourable guy". He said "I'll buy that", so I thought he'd let it go. He did. For fifteen minutes and then asked me again why we didn't think he was trustworthy, so I said (quite brusquely "Listen, it's not that you're not trustworthy - I'm sure you are, in your everyday life. The fact of the matter is, we don't know you, and that makes you untrustworthy in this situation. Get it?" And then he finally left us alone.

The next morning we cleaned up and prepared to leave, but had to spend another whole half hour looking for S's keys because had borrowed them and then (very rationally) put them in her bag. The only confusing bit was that she'd put them in a side pocket which had clothing in, and so when S shook her overnight bag, she couldn't hear them *sigh*

Thursday night I went out with D. He called at 2pm in the afternoon and woke me up (catching up on sleep) but all I could say at first was "huh? whaa?", lol. I cancelled watching tv with AJ, and I think she was a little glad (sleep and all, you know), and then went to see Shrek 2 with him for his birthday. Hah! He laughed so much he cried! It was hysterical. I love my D, he's funny like that sometimes. He said his firend J (married to L) is the same, if you make either of these boys laugh to much, they cry from it. I'm different, I don't think I've cried from laughter, but I go red and laugh silently because I can't get enough breath to actually laugh properly. I think the best bit for both of us was the hair ball scene, having seen both my cat and his do the same thing several times - although, but for the colour (more like Milo's colour) Puss In Boots reminded us of Oscar (all the "see me, I so nice pretty adorable cat .... ATTACK! I KEEL YOU!" posing).

Then I came home, and ... that's that. Sleep. And a lazy day today where I finished Kushiel's Avatar (having started it on Thursday morning). Now I'm looking to my new book - The Charmed Sphere. I hope it's good.
