I'm standing up in Jennifer Fallon's place for the christening this weekend as she's unable to attend. I'm her ... agent? Proxy? Representative?
I'm selling her soul.
Well, actually, we're not entirely sure if she has a soul, so I'm promising that she will provide a soul - ownership of said soul is irrelevant.
Anyway, Jenny has asked
eneit to find me a sparkly, shiny ball of some kind to hold that will represent her soul. Last night, I dreamt about it.
I lost Jenny's soul, with ten minutes to go before the christening. Panic stations. I was tearing up and down the main street of Culcairn looking for a shop that sold shiny, sparkly glass balls or some kind, or even just a tiny tiny glass bowl that I could put a tea light in. Otherwise, no soul.
I didn't find one in time. But I woke up before I had to go into the church.
Whew.

I wanted to tell you about a dream I had last night.
I dreamt I was at the dentist (no, this does not mean I was having a nightmare) and for some reason they asked me to turn on my side and breathe in the happy go-to-sleep gas (which I never recall taking in the dentist's chair, lol, only in the operating theatre of hospitals).
Anyway, I wasn't frightened or uncomfortable. There were lots of people in this dentist's room. They were all wearing the usual medical hygienic masks and hats and robe-y things.
They gassed me, and the room buzzed and throbbed and went black - much like it did when I was actually gassed in hospital those three times for the surgery on my feet.
I "woke up" in my dream later. Then I actually woke up properly at 7am when my alarm went off.
Weird. Ass. Dream.
But it was fun! The gas is fun! The gas was fun for real, and in my dream, lol. If I ever have to have surgery again, they have to gas me. The needle is too scary and I think I would feel panicked and upset because it would remind me of putting Wuffy to sleep. ... Yep. =| They can needle me after I pass out from the gas =X
But it was a good dream - fun! More please =D

I had a very weird dream last night. Sort of Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets my house and me. For some reason I was a slayer, and a new girl to my school had come over for the afternoon - I guess to study or something. She ended up chasing me up the main stairs and down the side stairs in our house* and trying to bite me! I through a pumpkin, a vase, and a shoe at her, and then managed to stake her with a lead pencil (not sure why that worked, since the point is the lead, not the wood ... but hey, at least I'm not a vampire this morning, lol).
For some reason she only wanted to bite me, and not my mother who spent the whole time just standing in the kitchen trying to work out what was going on.
*My house is two levels, the top level can be walked from the west end to the east end of the house without stopping (that is to say, all of the rooms have doors in them that form a sort of corridor through them). At each end of the house (more or less) there is a set of stairs. You can effectively run laps in my house.

Day Three of taking my new pill. I am experiencing some nausea. I wonder if that's to do with my cold though, or if it's actually definitely the pill?
I had a dream last night. I was in the back seat of a car sandwiched between my mother and my father, being driven somewhere by their accountant when my dad hit me very hard on my arm. It was so shocking that I whimpered and pressed myself against my mother's side. I woke up shortly after, as though the hit had jolted me out of sleep.

My mother and I are going to just ignore my dad's penny-pinching and go on a mercy-dash for his fish (Siamese Fighters) and get them a proper tank and heater. Poor things just lie on the bottom of their bowls at the moment, because the water is too cold for them.
This weekend is a nice break, since I've started sleeping properly again. But I had a few unhappy dreams last night (no doubt as a result of spending three days up to my eyeballs in First Aid how-to and scenarios, etc). My best friend died, in my dream. It was really awful, and I remember crying. Then I dreamt my computer had a virus (oh yay, just what I needed). And then I dreamt I was at dinner at some country club/restaurant with Queen someone-or-other for some reason, and we were swimming in the lap pool in our fancy dresses and singing and stuff. It was quite weird.
I think I should eat - I've run out of apple, and I'm starting to get hungry. I'm thinking I might get yummy-but-not-very-healthy chips and chicken nuggets. Yum.
Also, my brother has filled out his application for an exchange next year. He was to go to Italy too! Hurrah, someone to yell at in Italian. Although, I'm terrified he'll come back knowing more than me (sibling rivalry, and also he's a math-science guy, where as I excel at languages and arts in comparison to him) and telling me my accent is both horrible and wrong! He picked up so much when we were there for two weeks last year - I was just so proud of how quickly he started to understand. He's been writing it and finding pictures to put on the picture section. He's so excited, it's cute!
We might take on an exchange student if he goes, for a bit, because I want to learn some more Spanish or brush up my French or Italian.
Ok, lunch soon.

I keep having really weird dreams about getting married. ( I've had three. )
This week has gone by in a flurry - full of things happening left, right and centre. On Monday I applied for three different jobs. On Tuesday I bought tickets for the Wednesday night Fiddlers Festival performance, and in the evening went to see "Los Cabrones", an Afro-Cuban jazz band, and dance. On Wednesday, I helped my dad pack to go to Brisbane, and then in the evening I went to see Fiddlers Festival, and ended up staying another hour afterwards to listen to international dance djs. On Thursday I saw the Ballet Nacional Espana perform, and while I was disappointed by the first half, the second half (an interpretation of the tragedy Medea) more than made up for it. On Friday ... well, Friday is my rest day, but tomorrow night I'm going to the Symphony Under The Stars with a group of friends. We'll have dinner there, and then listen to music, and then go home.
On Monday I'm going to some salsa and merengue dances classes with Darius. This is going to be so much fun. On Friday we're going to go to a latino club and put our new moves to good use with some friends.
